December SALE!
All packages are $200-$400 off!

Services

Every client begins with a free, no-obligation 30-45 minute consult, where I go over my services and you share areas of your life that could use support. Then, we talk pricing, discounts & payment plans. I offer three packages, which include 3, 6, or 12 1-hour sessions (synchronous via zoom/phone/email/text or asynchronous) and cost on average $600, $1100, and $2200, but are sliding scale. For example, you can pay anywhere from $400-$800 for package 1 based on your finances. Stand-alone 1-hour $200 sessions are available on a case by case basis.

DECEMBER 2024 SALE: SAVE $200-$400 on all packages listed above!

Once a client pays their first invoice, they receive a questionnaire to be filled out no less than 12 hours prior to our first session. I take two hours to summarize our consult, your answers to the intake questionnaire, establish your file and a clear plan of action, and schedule our first session. After each session, I provide a follow-up email with next steps, resources to read or view, and products to purchase as needed. I also offer 1-hour asynchronous research sessions and record 1-hour educational lectures on topics of your choice.

I am available for same day sessions if you need to see me between your scheduled sessions, which take place weekly or bi-weekly. Synchronous, asynchronous, recorded, on-call, or on-text sessions are interchangeable. If you need to cancel/reschedule your 1:1 session, do so 12 hours or more beforehand. If you cancel/reschedule your session within 12 hours, you'll receive a $50 invoice. If you do not cancel/reschedule your session & do not show up to session as scheduled, you forfeit that session and it will be marked as completed in your file.

Overall, you direct your own transformation as you integrate new insights and work on all aspects of your life. I am especially good at providing Neurodivergent Life Coaching, LGBTQ Life Coaching, Career & Business Coaching, Chronic Illness Coaching, and Spiritual Coaching. I also provide DEI Consulting Services for businesses and organizations who hire me for speaking engagements, trainings and workshops, and organizational change projects.

About You

If everything feels like it is falling apart and you need to figure out a better path, get in touch with me. You may be going through divorces and break-ups, especially if you are LGBTQ+ and realizing it later in life. You may be burnt out after having kids, being fired, laid off or quitting school. You may be disabled, neurodivergent, and need to unmask with someone who understands. You may be overwhelmed, scared, and feeling isolated and gaslit. If you no longer want to second-guess yourself or waste time explaining your identities and overwhelm to doctors and providers, let's work towards an easier life where you call the shots and have a commitment to your truth.

Some of the groups I work with are: academics in and out of academia who are traumatized by their experience, all fields and career stages, this also applies to folks in medicine, law, or any industry, especially therapists; folks who are late in life (self)/diagnosed autistic, AuDHD, w/ADHD, and parents of neurodivergent kids; LGBTQ folks and their parents, mentally ill folks, disabled folks; people of color and immigrant people trying to survive on colonized land; people on spiritual journeys who are starting out or experienced healers and practitioners who want to go deeper without spiritual bypassing; people interested in exploring kink and BDSM; neurodivergent people interested in becoming life coaches or small business owners; frustrated mothers and anyone else burnt out (especially if you are in autistic burnout) from stress & facing oppression in their lives.
While I mostly work with marginalized people, I am also the appropriate life coach for people who carry unearned power and belong to the oppressor classes: white people, cisgender people, straight people, folks with money, able-bodied and neurotypical people etc. We can work together to figure out how you can leverage your power to unlearn harmful ideologies and contribute in a meaningful way to a more equitable society. I coach through an anti-oppression framework to help you see inequalities as structures to be dismantled.

About Me

A77460EE-9CD3-4660-A4B4-407C3BA60FB5 2_e
My name is Simone and I’m a 40-year-old mom of 4. I grew up in Russia as an Armenian refugee from Azerbaijan and moved to the US. I completed a BA in Biology and a Master’s in Public Health from NYU and worked for the American Cancer Society as a patient navigator for thousands of people. I then got a PhD in Sociology with a certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a concentration in LGBTQ Studies. My first book was on everyday violence faced by women and LGBTQ people and my current book is on reproductive journeys of transgender and non-binary people. I left full-time academia in 2022 to be a life coach and consultant for businesses and organizations. I also work as an Associate Disruptor with Race Reflections UK and am affiliated with Neurokindred.

As a late in life dx'd AuDHD person who's an agender lesbian (they/them), I prioritize clients who are marginalized. Being neurodivergent, & chronically ill, and (collective) trauma-informed means I can help when mainstream approaches to healing are not enough. Infodump with me, tell me all about your special interests, and let’s be ourselves.
In addition to life coach, think of me as career coach, peer support, household manager, and patient advocate. As a disabled person with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos, Lipedema, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, POTS and PMDD, I am also here to help you process the way our bodies and minds function in an ableist society and help you navigate an unfair healthcare system as your patient advocate. I donate a portion of my salary to help people impacted by reproductive injustice and families in Palestine, Congo, and Sudan.

Everyday Violence: The Public Harassment of Women and LGBTQ People was published in 2021 by Rutgers University Press. Buy it here.

Everyday Violence is based on ten years of scholarly rage against catcalling and aggression directed at women and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) people of New York City. Simone Kolysh recasts public harassment as everyday violence and demands an immediate end to this pervasive social problem. Analyzing interviews with initiators and recipients of everyday violence through an intersectional lens, Kolysh argues that gender and sexuality, shaped by race, class, and space, are violent processes that are reproduced through these interactions in the public sphere. They examine short and long-term impacts and make inroads in urban sociology, queer and trans geographies, and feminist thought. Kolysh also draws a connection between public harassment, gentrification, and police brutality resisting criminalizing narratives in favor of restorative justice. Through this work, they hope for a future where women and LGBTQ people can live on their own terms, free from violence.

Testimonials

Although very excited to be invited for the very first time to a campus interview for a tenure track faculty position, I immediately panicked as I was unaware of what the campus interview process was all about. Dr. Kolysh immediately offered their services and took me through every detail of what these interviews look like.  After a few days, I found out that I got the job they helped me prepare for! They also helped me with the negotiation process in order to reach an agreement that I felt most comfortable with. I’m super excited to start my new position and so grateful to Simone for all of their help!
